Addition and Remodel
Upgrading the educational facilities for Chapman Public Schools meant completely remodeling all three floors of the existing 15,500 SF school built in 1917, adding 13,000 SF of new space, and providing accessibility for the disabled throughout the building. The new facilities provide added classrooms, a media center, science and technology lab space, speech therapy, resource instruction, educational counseling, and special education. The new addition provides restrooms, lunchroom and kitchen; and a 6,200 SF Multi-purpose Room with a stage that accommodates music, activity courts for physical education and athletic programs; and bleacher seating for 230. NMA provided architectural services in collaboration with Webb & Company Architects in Grand Island, Nebraska.
